Today I enrolled Tristan in Kindergarten. (I spelled it all wrong yesterday!) Now I have to write a letter to request he get mornings and explain why I need him to go then. There is no guarantee I will get him in even so. I am really bummed but I hope I can. I had to sit for about 40 minutes as I didn't realize that enrollment didn't start until 9:00. It gave me time to watch all the kids come in and see how hectic it is before school begins. Kudos to the office manager... she knows all the kids by name. And it also made me cringe...we have another 7 years at this school. Back to volunteering and attending all the ceremonies. I will be a proud mom but man do they have a lot of stuff going on.
I also went to see about Taylor's pictures. I seemed to really freak out the people there...I guess they don't have many people walk in off the street. I had to explain what happened 3 times to 3 different people. After explaining my story to the third lady she says, "You could of just called." I told her that I could have but I was already going in to work late and thought I would stop by to ask about it. So she takes the time to find Taylor's proof, prints them out for me and gives me the order sheet. She then asks me if I can make a decision right there on the spot since time is running out to avoid extra charges. I said that I didn't see why I should have to pay extra charges. She says that it's the lab fees they have to pay since the orders are due. If they order late, they get charged. I again tell her that I don't see how I should be responsible when it wasn't my fault that my pictures didn't get returned to me along with everyone else's. She says again to me, "But it's the lab fee." I said again, not my fault. And then I tell her that I wish my husband could look at these so he could choose too and that I need to figure out how many pictures I need to get. So she can't decide how long she should give me. Asks me if I can return tomorrow. I said that I have to work and they close too soon for me to get there afterwards. So she leaves me and gets permission for me to bring it back on Saturday. Which, of course, I will do. I just thought my whole encounter was strange. She seemed so eager to get me out of there and they all acted weird that I was there. I have so much customer service pushed on me at work that I just couldn't believe how much I freaked them out. I think they need a workshop to handle the unexpected customer! ;o)
The camera is still in the truck and I think Chance is going out there in just a few. I need to write the letter and do some work so it may be another day before I can post any pictures. Sixteen Candles is on and I can't believe that after 20 years I still can't surf past it when I see it. Long Duck Dong just fell out of the tree and now the bride is drunk. What a classic teen movie. They just don't make them like they did in my high school years. Anthony Michael Hall. Whoda thought he'd turn out to be so cute. Oh and Chance is getting ready to regurgitate... The Breakfast Club comes on next!! He's now doing a commercial about the "Brandee Channel" and all the 80's teen movies coming up next. There's never a dull moment with him around.
